Title:

Hip Hip Hooray It's Osrina's Birthday!

It's Osrina's Birthday and we have to make a present,” said Bluey The Wren.

"Far out Brussels Sprout, where do we start," said Lyall Lyrebird.

“Don't panic I have an idea,” sung Penny Peacock. “We need to collect some colourful flowers and straw.”

“Okey Dokey,” they all cheered.

Hoot the owl was resting up in his tree house when heard a lot of excitement.
“Hey Guy's, what are you doing?”

“We are gathering flowers and straw for Osrina’s birthday present,” they all replied.
“Cool Banana's, I will get out of my pajamas and help you too,” said Hoot.

Penny, Bluey, Lyall and Hoot gathered all the flowers and straw they could find and went back to the Tree house.

“Let me spin my magic,” said Bluey.
With a wink of an eye and some magic words,
the most beautiful present appeared.

"Easy Peezy Japaneezy"

“Now it's time to find our Birthday Bird.”
“You Beaut Juicy Fruit,” said Lyall.

Off they flew to the roost.

Osrina was busy tiding up when she heard a merry sound.

"Hip Hip Hooray its Osrina's birthday!"

Out from the roost with an almighty boost, she saw all her friends.

What came next was the very best a hat that lays in rest.
"Gee Wee is this for me?” she said.

“Yes it is,” they said with glee.

My store is based on Australian Birds that are best mates living in the bush. Osrina the Emu is having a birthday and all her friends want to surprise Osrina with a birthday present that they have made. Its aimed was to attract children between the ages 2-7 years. Then idea of making a present was to show how we can use our minds and create things with what we have available around us (nature). As people we seem to treasure those sorts of presents more. Writing a story isn't the easiest thing to do especially when you want it to rhyme. Hopefully I have achieved this as I wanted to create rhythm which I believe children love...
